Staff SMS privacy notice

Friendship House · Effective October 26, 2026 · Version 2026-10-26

This notice covers the Friendship House staff account security SMS program at bikurcholim.house. It explains how we handle information used for staff verification texts.

What we collect and why

When you choose SMS verification, we collect your mobile number, link it to your staff account, and record your consent, its date and the notice version you accepted. We also keep verification, delivery and security records needed to operate and protect staff accounts.

Texts contain security codes for SMS setup, sign-in and identity checks before sensitive account actions. This SMS program does not send marketing, guest updates or medical information.

How information is used and shared

We use the number and related records for authentication, delivery, fraud prevention and account support. Our delivery providers, including Amazon Web Services and mobile carriers, process the destination number and message to deliver the text.

We do not sell or rent staff mobile numbers or SMS consent records, or share them with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be processed by service providers supporting message delivery and account security, or disclosed when required by law.

Access to account, consent and security records is restricted to authorized people and systems that need it for these purposes.

Your choices and retained records

You give SMS consent separately during SMS setup. You can stop texts by replying STOP. Stopping texts can prevent receipt of sign-in or other security codes; contact your System administrator for help accessing your account.

Stopping SMS does not automatically delete your staff account or its consent, verification and security records. We retain information as needed for account administration, security, recordkeeping and applicable legal requirements. Contact us about access, correction or deletion requests.
